Online Security Tips & Cyber Safety

Protecting Your Banking Credentials & Safe Digital Practices

Important Advisory from U.P. Postal Primary Co-operative Bank Ltd.

The Bank NEVER asks for your Internet Banking Password, ATM PIN, OTP, UPI PIN, or CVV. Always verify calls claiming to be from the Bank or law enforcement.

1. Beware of "Digital Arrest" Scams

Cybercriminals pose as Police, CBI, ED, Narcotics, or Customs officers over video calls (Skype, WhatsApp) claiming you are implicated in illegal parcels or money laundering.

  • Fact: No government agency or police ever conducts arrests over video calls.
  • Action: Disconnect immediately and report to Cyber Crime helpline 1930.
  • Do not transfer money to any "security verification" or "clearance" account.

2. Authorized Contact Numbers

Always cross-verify numbers before communicating or responding to requests:

📞 Authorized Outgoing Number: 1600 120 180
(Our branches call you ONLY from this TRAI-registered number)

📞 Customer Care / Toll Free: 1800 891 1950
(Dedicated for customer incoming queries)

Do not trust incoming calls from private mobile numbers pretending to represent bank managers.

3. Verify Official Website URL

Our official banking domain has migrated to the secure banking domain:

Always check for https:// and the padlock icon before entering any login credentials or personal details. Never click on unverified search engine links or SMS shortlinks.

4. In Case of Fraud / Cyber Incident

If you suspect unauthorized transactions or have shared details accidentally:

  1. Call National Cybercrime Helpline immediately: 1930
  2. File an official report at: cybercrime.gov.in
  3. Contact our Bank's Front Desk: +91 8429000506 / +91 8429000507 to immediately block account access.
